LO - ASEAN Minister on Energy Meeting & My Scholarship

AMEM I can still remember how envy I was when my friends got a huge chance to be LO in international events. I've been waiting for that chance to come so long, and finally in this lovely September, those chances come upon me. I got my second chance to be LO of ASEAN Minister on Energy Meeting. Like my previous time to be LO, I had to face interview. It was like my pure effort to be LO not because I was chosen by my lecturers. On the interview they asked me which country that I want to be assist with. So I said I want to assist New Zealand, simple I had some experience in that country. They offered me Korea (again) and Myanmar, but I insisted to prefer New Zealand. Finally, I got text that inform I was chosen to be LO. I couldn't deny myself that I was pretty happy, even though they said when I was interviewed they were looking for female LOs. This is my shortest working time to be LO. My delegation, Ms. Halia Haddad only spent less than a day in Bali. I didn't have

LO APEC SME Ministerial Meeting

With Ibu Amy Gumelar I need time to think what is the perfect word to start my writing. The answer is OK. OK, this is my third year as the student of International Relations. Since I was in my very baby year, I mean first year, I was obsessed to be LO. Incase you don't know, LO is Liaison Officer, which its duty is to accompany the delegates from some states during their stay in some place. In 2011, my friends got chance from my department to be LO in Bali Democracy Forum, in 2012 they got another chance, and I didn't. Now, my time is come. But this chance wasn't coming from my department, it came from my friend that attended the interview and told me the number of the person that interviewed her. I didn't know if there was an interviewed to be LO, I didn't even know the recruitment. I will let you know how could this happen. In August 27, I went to campus to arrange my study plan card, and it was done that day, it means I shouldn't have gone back

Singapore and Thailand

“Perjalanan itu bersifat pribadi. Kalaupun aku berjalan bersamamu, perjalananmu bukanlah perjalananku.” - Paul Theroux Universal Studio It has been a while since my last abroad trip to New Zealand , finally on July 24, right in the dawn of the day my new trip was started. Singapore is only 2hours and a half from Denpasar, Bali. We got our plane departed at 9 AM in the morning. Like I have told you before, it takes 2 hours and a half to get here, in Singapore, which made us arrived at 11 AM. Denpasar and Singapore have the same time zone, so you don't have to change your watch or phone's time. We lived in China Town, in a hostel called 5FootWayInn. On the first day, we went around the city, saw the landmark of Singapore, and of course to see the famous lion. It was a tired day, but I loved it, cause I tasted an ice cream that really tasty and smooth - eh.  The second day we went to Universal Studios Singapore, we spent our day there. There was s

IR - International Relations

It's been a while. IR, what's on your mind when you hear these latters? Frankly, when I was high school, I knew IR from my friend Vania Anggawa, which lightly made me thinking that I should be one. Such a shame to admit, I took this matter because I want to go abroad. I didn't do some deep research of what they learn and  how they live (IR students). Hence, now I got a bit regret of what I have done to myself. In IR, we learn politics, they tought me how to be critical, sometimes by my word I called it negative thinking. In IR, there is a theory of Realism, that believe our human nature is anarchy, and human is a bad thing that only wants to reach their objectives without thinking about others objectives. I don't know why, today, right now while I'm typing this blog, I feel I don't belong here. It takes me to 2009, when uncle Cuccurulo asked me what I want do for living, I said, with my own answer, I want to be steward. I'm not whining, but I think I did. S

IMHI - Inisiasi Mahasiswa Hubungan International Udayana 2013

Awesome view I was being the committee of IMHI 2013, the core idea of making this event is to introduce IR to all the new students. The students consist of 8 group that named by countries all over the world, those countries  are China, Spain, Saudi Arabia, India, Fiji, Brazil, Holland, and Japan. On tge first day, we went to Primary School 1 Candi Kuning. The participants taught English to the students from each batch, except the first grade, because when we got there, the were alredy home. We officially opened this event on that school. There was nothing really matter in the first day, we did some watching, and the were asked to resume and connected it to IR. In the night of the first day, we celebrated the birth of KOMAHI, our department's organization, which also by our lecture IR is introduced to the new students. On the second day, we went
